Summary: Eh...
Comment: Nothing spectacular, given all the pomp. Background noise still a problem according to my listeners.

Summary: Great headset, doesn't work well for multiple devices
Comment: This is a fantastic headset for use with a single device (phone, laptop/Skype, etc.). It is better than all the others I tried, both in fit and sound quality.
If you have a high need for switching between multiple devices, however, be aware that the advertised "on the fly switching" between up to 3 devices does not really work very well.
The major shortcoming is that you have to completely turn off the current device (or its bluetooth radio) before you can switch to another device. This makes no sense at all, since the Z9 has a button control for disconnecting from current device.
Depending on your setup, this can range from a nuisance to a major roadblock. For example, my setup is to use the Z9 with my laptop for Skype calls and my Blackberry for other calls. I may switch back and forth regularly, depending on who I am calling.
If I want to switch from cell phone to laptop, I have to complete turn off the cell phone bluetooth radio, which means the Blackberry loses all of its blutooth connections (including bluetooth synching to PC and modem use). If I want to switch from laptop to Blackberry, I have to either turn off my entire laptop (it doesn't have a bluetooth radio off option), or remove the Z9 device from the bluetooth profile completely, which means I have to reinstall it from scratch again the next time.
There is a new version called the Z9i, which claims to have better/more options for multiple devices. I don't know if this limitation about having to turn off the current device has been fixed, however.

Summary: Good Sound Quality, Poor Customer Service
Comment: I got the Z9 for Christmas last year. I have used it quite a bit for conference calls at work. The sound quality is good and the headset is compact and nice looking. However, as other reviewers have said, the earpiece (that is the rubber "doughnut" that seals the headpiece into your ear) is not durable. I got about the same 4 to 5 months of usage the others got before it just broke down and came apart. I've twice tried BlueAnt customer service to get earpiece replaced. In both cases, after much discussion, they've promised to send a replacement part but in neither case have they done so. This wouldn't be so bad except that the headset is under warranty and the replacement part that they think I should buy is relatively expensive. This in not a good headset to get if you want to use it frequently unless you don't mind buying your replacement parts that should be covered under the warranty.

Summary: Does not work for me at all
Comment: I bought this because works for more than one device. Right out of the box, it did not work, only weird noises, I called customer services and it had older firmware. I had to update it and you talk about complicated!! However customer service was great, much better than most. Finally it works and I can hear well. No one can hear me or the sound made them so uncomfortable, they did not want to continue the conversation, even my mother! It has voice activation settings but neither of them worked for me. The buttons are easy to access, it's comfortable, small and less ugly than most. The Plantronics 510 is much easier to use to with multiple devices. I can't recommend this.
