This is an adequate oven mitt, but there are so many better ones out there (I recommend Lekue). Still, see this one demonstrated here. Your hand feels like it's kind of trapped in a huge plastic device, and you lose lots of mobility. I purchased the translucent oven mitt, but this blue one is exactly the same except for the blue color.

Barely recommended, just because it is certainly quite sturdy.

My only complaint is that it doesn't fit as well as a normal oven mitt so can take a while to get used to picking up things with it. Would be nice it it came in different sizes for people with smaller hands.
