Summary: instant sucess
Comment: I was going to buy the tip trap off amazon, but I really wanted the mouse problem over with. so I bought 2 of these at a local super store. this one got rid of the mouse the very first night! no problems with them since. I heard it snap soon as all the lights were out in the house. my son disposed of the mouse and reset the trap the next morning. I will be investing in a few more of these to have on hand. love that I don't have to see the mouse in the trap.

Summary: I highly recomment this trap
Comment: I wish I had bought this before I purchased the round traps made by d-con because this trap caught the little offender within 24 hours. I found the round traps worthless and that mouser actually pooped into it as if to thumb its nose at me.... guess I'm thumbing my nose now. Buy this trap, it works!!!
Update...I caught two more in the last 6 hours. It's starting to gross me out but I am glad they are being caught. Now I need to find a way to keep them from coming in!

Summary: Best mousetrap for the squeamish
Comment: Best trap that I've found for my basement. Mice love it - or at least they love the peanut butter that I bait the trap with! Easy disposal; I love not looking at the dead mouse. Made to be reusable. Only flaw: sometimes the lever is tough to set; shaking the whole trap sometimes helps - have always been able to finally get the lever set.

Summary: Wiped 'Em Out. Completely.
Comment: We bought these traps after trying the humane catch and release type.
The previous traps didnt discourage the mice in our house at all.
After finding a mouse in my box of cereal one morning, I decided to ramp up our effort a large notch.
I got these traps and DCon's Mouse Prufe II.
Killed about 4 mice within 4 weeks and that was it.
No more mice at all after having had the problem off and on for 4 years.
Not sure if the poison made a difference or if it was strictly the covered mouse traps.
But we now have zero mice.
Way to go DCon.
Also these traps are nice because you dont really see the carnage.
The traps also look discreet on your floor or shelf.
They are not so barbaric as an open trap.
