Summary: First movie gains nothing from Blu-ray
Comment: I was very disappointed in the quality of the first film, because I really didn't see any difference in quality from the DVD version. However the other films in the set do benefit greatly from the increased resolution. They are stunning. The first film -- not so much.

Summary: Good content, poorly implemented
Comment: I have the Samsung BD-P2550 with current firmware.

First off, having no menu before the movies is ok, but disconcerting. Problem is that the disc defaults to Dolby DTS no matter what. They have True-HD tracks as well, but selecting it is totally NOT user friendly. On my Samsung, for the first movie, I had to press the "Audio" button on the remote. When I did, a small selection menu appeared at the top of the screen where I could select language and coding tracks. BUT, on Animatrix, the "Audio" button would bring up that top menu and I was not allowed to change the track! I had to press the "Popup Menu" button, which showed a small menu at the bottom of the screen. The only selection that made any sense was "Languages". When I explored that, I found I could select the different tracks. So how friggin stooopid is this? Imagine if my parents, or even just an average Joe had to figure this out? How great would it be to have the designers subject to interesting punishments based on how easily (or not) an average user could view the movie at optimal settings? :)

So this alone makes me annoyed enough to give it 4 stars rather than 5.

Summary: Great Movie, Shipping is Terrible
Comment: I purchased this box set on Dec. 29th, with the priority 3-5 day shipping. I find out that this movie isn't shipping til Jan 2 and will not be delivered until Jan 9th!!! I paid the xtra money to get it shipped priority, and i get reduced to UPS's media mail service!! If i knew it was gonna be shipped that way, i would have used the Free Shipping option!! I for one will be requesting a refund of my money paid for shipping, as i am not getting the service i paid for! I should be getting on jan 3rd or 4th at the latest, not a freaking week later! That is just BS!

Summary: Matrix + Blu-ray = AWESOME
Comment: This is the best quality audio and video copy of Matrix series you can get. A nice bonus is digital copy of the first movie. Watching the series right now, and enjoying every minute. Just have to find time to watch all the 35 hours of extras. Highly recommend this set, especially at Amazon's price.

Comment: This was a great gift idea for my husband who loves the who Matrix movies. He has really enjoyed and was thrilled to get this as a gift. I am sure that he will enjoy hours of watching all the DVD's that this comes with.
