Summary: We Love These!
Comment: My son is thrilled to be able to learn all the names for the vehicles and such on the placemat! It saves us a lot of complaining when he decides not to eat but to play at the table.

I was surprised at how durable it was and the vinyl (yes! Vinyl!) is heavier than I thought it would be. It stays put, no sliding and is easy to clean.

I don't let me kid eat right off the table, as this is for my kid who eats from dishes. I would suggest not to let a baby use these, but an older kids (2+).

Summary: Great Idea, but poor product. Potentially dangerous.
Comment: My nephew had this exact placemat, and the ink comes off every time we wipe it. (whether we use Simple Green, water, or wiping off orange juice) No one feels comfortable letting a toddler eat food off a placemat that has its paint coming off. Who knows what's in the paint? The educational value is great, though - they just need to find a better way to manufacture a child's product!

Summary: Vinyl is the poison plastic
Comment: vinyl placemats have a better place hanging on the wall than coming into contact with food. Vinyl is harmful... do some research before allowing children to play with anything made of PVC plastic.

Comment: My son looked at all the Crocodile Creek place mats and this was the one he wanted. He is learning his ABC's.
