Comment: This thing is really sharp. They have made an attempt to make it safe. Just be real careful to keep little fingers out of the blade area.
It does a great job getting the clam shells open.

Excellent product. Safe and easy to use. This was a gift for my father, who has carpal tunnel syndrome, so this has been a great alternative to scissors when opening packages. It also prevents getting cut by the sharp plastic packaging. Simple, but useful. The only irony is it comes in a plastic package that you must open to retrieve the opener. :)

Comment: This is a good idea, but difficult to use. There are plastic package openers that are more "people friendly".
