Summary: thermostat is only settable in 5 degree increments & only on high
Comment: I agree with other reviewers that the fan could have a bit more power for faster heating but most important to me is that the thermostat is only settable in 5 degree increments. If you put this unit on low power it automatically goes to maximum and you cannot reduce this to a degree setting. On high, you can control the setting but only in 5 degree increments! I guess that they could not imagine that each of us might like it a little different? Nice design and quiet but...?

Comment: If the rating were based solely on looks, this heater would get 5 stars. It's a unique and attractive product. It is also very quiet. The problems with this heater are: 1. It doesn't put out a lot of heat. Even on high power and at the highest temperature setting, you can barely feel it if you're sitting more than a couple feet away. It hasn't warmed any room in our house bigger than the bathroom [although the instructions say not to use it in the bathroom -- and also not to use it in the shower(!!)]. 2. The range of oscillation is quite small (even my easy-to-please husband noticed it). 3. As much as we move this heater around, it would be very nice if it came with a handle. 4. Interestingly, the remote for this heater will control our Lasko fan and vice versa. This can pose a small problem if you have the two near each other.

Comment: I like the heater for its size, helps warm up the family room to a comfortable level, only wish it was a little stronger in heating power, it would be perfect and save a lot in fuel cost.

Comment: I am very VERY pleased with this purchase! Big thanks to the woman who actually suggested this product in a review I was reading about another I was going to purchase. A little unit that seriously kicks out the heat. I use it for an open area den-there is a draft from main home entry on cold nights. I sit it between door and lounging area. No more cold air is felt across the floor and even warms up the den area. Had thought the remote was an unnecessary perk -- not anymore! Extremely pleased with this unit.

Comment: This is a great little heater. Our house is quite drafty, but this heater really makes a difference. It is also very attractive. The ability to set temps, timers, and power level make this a very versatile device. I was really amazed at the amount of heat it puts out! I highly recommend this heater.
