Summary: new coffee drinker
Comment: decided to start drinking coffee so i could quit drinking coke. so far it is one of the best decisions ever.
i went w/ this coffee maker because of the good reviews. i have not been let down. purchased the unit 3 months ago and have not had a single problem. since i live by myself the 1-4 cup option on the unit is nice. everything is very easy to use. coffee taste great.
in prior reviews the opening for the water has been mentioned as a potential problem. if you have any measuring device w/ a semi-spout it is no problem at all. even a normal cup shouldn't be that much of a problem w/ any type of care of pour.

Comment: This product works as described. It is easy to use, easy to program, and easy to clean. This coffeemaker makes a pretty good cup of coffee. For the price, it would be hard to beat.
I would say that if you need a coffeemaker that is Red, to match everything else in your kitchen, you can not go wrong with this one.

Comment: After reading some of the reviews prior to buying the Cuisinart I decided that not only will it make my wife happy to buy her a pink coffee maker but a quality coffee maker. So far, it's been great!! All the comments on the lid coming completely off is a plus. it makes it easier to fill and poor. The opening in the back is just as easy as other coffee pots and not reason enough to not purchase one.
My wife is a huge coffee fan.. and she loves her new coffee maker.

Comment: I have never owned a Cuisinart coffee maker but after reading all the positive reviews I took a gamble and ordered this one. I must say this machine makes great tasting coffee and it is just the right temperature. As an added bonus the machine is sleek and stylish and looks great in our kitchen. And the beeper that sounds off when the coffee is done brewing is great for forgetful people like me. I couldn't ask for anything more (other than for it to grab a cup and pour a cup of coffee for me)... Well done Cuisinart!

Summary: WORST COFFEE MAKER I EVER OWNED
Comment: The only reason why this has a one star rating is because I had to give it something in order to review it. I bought this to replace my Krups that we had for 13 years. In less than a week, this Cuisinart was a disappointment. In the middle of brewing, it would go on and off for 5 seconds and then stay on. Then after brewing complete it would start the on/off again. I called Cuisinart explaining to them what the problem was and they told me to unplug it for an hour to reset the internal computer. I did that and it worked properly for 4 days and then it started the on/off during brewing again. I again called Cuisinart and told them this maker was defective but if I wanted a replacement, I was going to have to pay out of pocket (even though it was not my fault) to send it back to them to get a replacement. Where's the warranty covering the product if it's defective??? Some warrany...NOT! Other problems...1. Difficult to pour all the water out of the carafe. The plastic lip would keep some liquid inside. 2. Water build-up on top after brewing would just pour down the back of the maker when the lid was lifted. Just made a mess and a electrical hazard. 3. Clock is difficult to see unless you were right on top of it.
I have to say the customer service from Cuisinart was the last straw. I will NEVER buy another Cuisinart product ever. I am happy to say that I was able to return this sorry excuse for a coffee maker to Bed, Bath & Beyond for a full refund. Instead I bought the new Krups model and couldn't be happier! If I could, I would give this Cuisinart coffee maker a minus 5!
