Summary: satisfied customer
Comment: This product was easy to assemble. The bike is very easy to operate. Although I have only had it for three weeks, the quality of the bike is very solid. I recommend this exercise machine to anyone who wants a quality exercise bike for a very reasonable price.

Summary: Well made, solid product.
Comment: Very nice assembly instructions. It took me about an hour at a casual pace.
Very solid construction.
Smooth noise free operation.
Nice resistance.Comfortable.
Basically I really like the unit.
There is however one thing that's driving me bonkers. During your workout it beeps every few seconds. There's no mention of it in the manual. After just a few days I'm considering finding the speaker and snipping the wire. I read while I'm on it and I can't stand the beeping, and I have no idea what it's trying to tell me anyway. "I'm alive! I'm alive!" ??? Annoying, otherwise I'd give 5 stars.
Shipping - Just a tip about CEVA shipping, as soon as you get the tracking #, call them. They sat on my unit for a day or two until I called them. Weird, but it seems to be how they operate.

Summary: Great bike for an amazing price!
Comment: We've had this exercise bike for about a year now, and we love it! It's comfortable and very quiet. There is a nice range of resistances, from quite easy to very hard (I actually haven't been able to take it to the hardest levels yet because they're too difficult). It has a range of training programs, which my husband loves. I use it in the quick start mode, which I like because it is easy to change the resistance on the fly. You can set programs to have a certain time goal, calories burned goal, or distance biked (maybe more, I can't remember). At the end of a ride it tells you time, average and fastest speeds, and calories burned. The calories tend to be a bit off, but it's still a nice function. Overall, we have no complaints except for a small shipping issue - our first bike was damaged in shipping (I think it was actually UPS' fault). Amazon was very good about reshipping (with a different carrier, at our request) immediately, and we were able to get the problem resolved with very little hassle.

Summary: Great After De-Squeaking
Comment: Fast, 3-day delivery. Shipping box was thin and a little beat up, but contents were well packed and undamaged. Except for some required, disconcerting disassembly during the assembly process, the good looking bike came together in about 3 hours. The only problem was very annoying noises (squeaking) of the seat when the bike was first used. To remedy that, I disassembled the seat's bottom and back, a total of 8 screws, and ran them through pieces of plastic foam (punch outs of electric outlet sealers), that were stored in a drawer. Rubber washers or felt would probably have worked just as well. The foam provides cushioning between the hard bottom and back of the two seat components and the metal supports to which they are fastened resulting in a noiseless "ride". The squeaks probably came just from the seat back, but I cushioned both the seat bottom and back just to be sure. Also, while the seat was disassembled, I applied a spray lubricant to the metal seat rail. The result is that the seat slides easier when adjusting positions; prior to the lubrication changing positions was more difficult.

Summary: Schwinn 230 Recumbent Exercise Bike
Comment: Schwinn 230 Recumbent Exercise Bike
I went online and looked at consumer reviews of several exercise bikes. The Schwinn 230 reviewers were largely highly positive to laudatory. The one theme that stood out in my mind after reading all reviews was -- "solid machine; excellent value for the money."
I bought the machine "sight unseen" a month ago. I can honestly state that it indeed is a "solid machine" and "excellent value for the money." [One thing I did not know beforehand -- Schwinn is a product made by Nautilus, the famous exercise equipment maker that's been around for ages.] I like it very very much and hop on about 3-4 times a week for a 30-minute workout. The rest of the family does too.
One other important observation -- I have never, repeat never, in all my years come across a product with such crystal clear assembly instructions and logical parts and tools arrangement in labeled packaging. Someone has given a lot of thought to making the process as friendly and foul-proof as possible. I put this together, leisurely, within an hour whilst watching TV on the side.
I highly recommend it, especially to those with bad backs, those who are bothered by the up-and-down motion of elipticals, or those who can't risk damage to the knees by treadmills.
