Summary: The second curling iron was the charm!
Comment: The first curling iron I received did not work at all. (I have a real hard time with packaging and this one was no different--I actually cut myself of the plastic.) However, when I contacted Amazon, they told me to return it and they shipped a new one out to me before I even got to the post office! I got my replacement in two days which was important because I needed the iron to go on a trip. I really love the product but there is one problem that I can see: The control to either lower or raise the temperature is exactly where your hand rests while using the iron; therefore, it is difficult to maintain a controlled temperature. Other than that, the iron does everything it was purported to do. I really do like it and it was worth the trouble! I hope before I'm ready to buy my next one, the control is moved to a more out-of-the-way location.

Comment: This curling iron worked for two days and then broke. It just wouldn't get hot one morning. My husband ended up taking it apart and said the inside had burnt up. I couldn't send it back because I had already thrown away all the packing and info. I learned a lesson on this purchase! Keep everything for awhile (packaging, receipts)to be sure the product's ok and you don't have to send it back.

Comment: I've had good luck with this curling iron. It heats up quickly. My hair is very, very thick, and this still locks a curl into it. I like how it leaves my hair glossy.

Comment: I bought this dual-voltage curling to take on a 4 week trip to Europe. It did not even last for the entire trip. In less than 2 weeks of use, one day it just died. I'm used to curling irons having a relatively short life, but less than 2 weeks is a bit too short.

Comment: This iron looks great, heats up quickly, and glides through your hair. The ceramic coating is really smooth, like teflon. I've only used it a few times cause I just got it, but I'm glad I bought it. You can't beat the price!
