Summary: Worthless Garbadge
Comment: I have read the directions multiple times and have attempted to take the temperature of multiple people many many times. First, you never get remotely the same temperature reading twice. Also, it seems to always read lower than the actual temperature. I really don't understand how anyone can get a reliable reading from this device. Perhaps mine is defective???
Anyway, I will stick to my Braun Thermoscan ear thermometer, which is the most accurate thermometer that I've come across. This worthless thing will go in the garbage.

Comment: I, and my children, love this product. (2.5 yr old and 9 months) They equate getting their temperature taken with play time because the product is so interesting. I've never had problems with squirmy children because the beeping distracts them. I always take the temp 3 times (I even did this with other non-temporal thermometers). Yes, I do get read-outs that can vary by .5 degrees. I guess I am not that concerned with whether the temperature is 99.7 or 100.4. I know that I should give them some medicine if they are uncomfortable with the fever. I also know when it gets dangerously high and I should take them to the Dr. This product does what it needs to do without making a baby or toddler more uncomfortable. It is accurate to a degree that is useful for making decisions.

Comment: Works perfectly. Even our two year old can operate it correctly and take an accurate reading of her own temperature (of course, she can't read the numbers yet ...).
It is an absolute life saver, to not have to stick a cold pointy thingy in our childrens behind or under the arm anymore - especially with our newborn baby, where we can take a measurement in his sleep now.
Added bonus is, that this thermometer also shows the Celsius temperature - which we are more accustomed to than the Fahrenheit scale.

Comment: This thermometer has been very handy for us, especially when my daughter was a baby. While I would not say the results are 100% accurate I feel it gave us enough reliability to determine whether she had a high fever or not. I could generally take the temperature 3 or 4 times, and use the reading that came up more than once as "the reading". At the time we bought this it appeared that this thermometer was rated much better than ALL of the ear thermometers. It would not have the sensitivity to check a woman's basal body temperature in the a.m. but its manufacturer never claimed that it would. I swear by this thermometer. I would definitely refer it to a friend.

Comment: It's really nice to have for young children and infants but does not glide across forehead super easy..would recommend it though.
