Summary: Great Magazine, HORRIBLE service
Comment: I absolutely love RR and the mag, but I have had trouble receiving my issues this entire year of my subscription, and it's only 10 issues people! AND I do not live anywhere weird, normal mailbox, easy to get to, no dogs, nothing. I received my first issue, no problem, then i missed the next 2 so I thought maybe it's my mailman, so I changed the address to my work, I received 1 issue there, then again, stopped. And these issues are with seasons/holidays, so even when i request they send my missing issue (which I only got 1), by the time I get it it's like winter and I have recipes for iced tea and picnic sandwiches. When I request they extend my subscription to make up for all the missing issues, they say they cannot and KEEP telling me that I have to renew if i want my issues and I told them BUT I'm PAYING for them already and not getting them, no compensation. And even now when I see Rachel Ray on TV, I get annoyed. Sad how they've turned me off on Everything Rachel Ray.

Summary: Full of fun and food
Comment: I have been reading this magazine for over a year now and I absolutely love it. There are always great recipes to share with friends and family also I love the wine pairing section. I do not drink wine but when I have a dinner party and use one of Rachel's recipes I know what wine to include for dinner.

The messes and successes is a fun section its great to know that you are not the only one that messes things up in the kitchen.

One section that I always read is pet friendly. My dog loves the treats and I make enough to share with my friends dogs too!

A section that is very helpful is Everyday menu planner. You can pull it out, take it to the grocery with you and plan a week worth of great meals. The recipes are easy and the food is great.

There is so much anyone can get out of Everyday with Rachel Ray, it is a great magazine. I can't wait until the next issue.

Summary: I hate to admit it, but...
Comment: Against my better judgment, I picked up an issue of this magazine at my local bookstore one day and decided to flip through it. I hate to admit it, but as much as Rachael Ray annoys me (I used to love her on $40-a-Day, but what happened?!), I have to say that I was pretty impressed.

I enjoyed how there were many different aspects to the magazine besides just food. And trust me, she's much less obnoxious when you don't have to listen to her!

Summary: Everyday.....
Comment: A fun magazine to read through but for me, the recipes would be a stretch. I just didn't find a lot of recipes that would work for my family.Lots of good ideas but it isn't for everyone.

Summary: The Perky One Shall Rule Them All
Comment: Rachael Ray's "Everyday" magazine (clearly modeled on Martha Stewart Everyday, but with a Gen X&Y appeal) is a mixed bag of goodies for foodies. It's colorful, fairly kitschy (I'm not surprised Ray will be partying with Perez Hilton at SXSW),the recipes easy to read and follow. It's the food equivalent to PEOPLE magazine with its coverage of celebrities and vacation destinations. Ray has interviewed Dennis Quaid,Jimmy Kimmel, and Barbara Walters on their refrigerator contents. Other celebrities chime in with what they've had for breakfast, lunch and dinner (as if I really care)

There are useful recipes. Ray's macaroni and cheese made with cream cheese, broccoli, and carrots is different and delicious. The lemon pasta is light and savory. The chicken stew made with red wine and dried fruits is hearty and flavorful. However,Ray also comes up with some really unholy food combinations (think of the hamburger topped with mashed potatoes she cooked up with Craig Ferguson) that are reminiscent of the '50s. Gastroanomalies indeed.

"Everyday" is fun, light reading. It's NOT for serious cooks. It IS accessible. It's good for occasional perusing, but not worth a subscription. It's a snack, not a meal.
