Summary: It just a PLUG, you CAN pump it up!
Comment: While the "neverflat" claim seems to be more marketing then anything, it is possible to put air in the ball! The plug that covers the air hole can be pulled out with a pliers! Put the needle in and pump it up, it's not rocket science, I just did this yesterday. You can even put the plug back in!
I like the ball, happy with the purchase. Don't be scared off by the the people who bought a new basketball because they didn't pull out a simple plug.

Summary: The ball says NEVER FLAT.
Comment: I am aware that the guarantee is for a year, however I am overseas in the very tropical Okinawa, Japan and this ball didn't last me a month. The weather here is very humid and very hot, the ball began leaking by the second week and by the end of the month it was unusable. Sending it in to get be replaced just isn't worth the hassle. I was very disappointed in this ball. I poked a hole in the cap covering the pump insert portion, then it hit me... the ball says NEVER FLAT! Someone once told me never say NEVER (let alone put it on a product). I should have known better, but that's what I get for trying to find a better ball. Some things are just good the way they are.
In short, buy a normal ball that can be pumped up and save yourself some hassle and the cash you're eventually going to fork out for a new ball.

Summary: Best Basketball
Comment: I played basketball almost everyday outside with this ball for 2 years before it started becoming a little flat. Yes, you can inflate it. Remove the little plug and pump it up like any other basketball. This is the best basketball I've ever had in my life, and I'm very picky about what kind of balls I play with because basketball is my main sport. The texture and material is great, especially for outdoor use. If you're going to buy a basketball, this is no doubt the one you need to get.

Summary: Went Flat in a Week
Comment: Ours went flat within a week of getting it, apparently from a nail hole. I believe a neighborhood prankster took the label "Never Flat" as a challenge. Regardless of that, if it is advertised as "Never Flat," I believe it should be able to withstand a puncture and still hold air. It might be better for driveway courts to remove the words "Never Flat" from the ball.
