Each knife has a solid forged bolster and tang constructed from one piece of the superior German CrMov stainless steel alloy. The handle is pressed into the thick tang and then a stainless steel counterweight is pressed into the tail for perfect balance.

Comment: These knives are good. Especially when considering the price. I have used higher end cutlery and surely if you want to double the money spent on this set for one chef's knife, you'll notice the difference. However, this set is not only practical and looks good, it performs well. Bottom line, take care of it, it will be well worth the money spent.

Comment: I own the orange handle and metal handles. I was not really into bright orange knife handle at first, but had a huge change of heart.
My Mom was helping me cook, and fell in loved with the soft bright orange knife handle. The grip fits our hands. Best part we could find the Bright Orange knife handle, it's hard to miss! We found our selves fighting over the Bright Orange knife handle.

Comment: These knives are great!!! They make cooking so much easier and fun. Just one suggestion, change the back edge of the knife near the handle so it is not so sharp. Should be a blunt corner. Other then that, they are great! Thanks
