Summary: Isn't 'Rev-er Upper' Enough for Me
Comment: First, I love Bare Escentuals makeup and feel almost disloyal saying anything that's not stellar about it, but this claim that you'll "look like you got 12 hours of sleep with this instant eye brightener"l was a disappointment.
Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Eye Rev-er Upper is billed as the fix for tired, puffy, dark circled eyes. I've not found this to be true. Yes, it has a bit of shimmery coolness to it that is refreshing, but shortl-lived and ineffective.
BE claims this product should eliminate tired eyes and make you look like you had 12 hours of sleep. Maybe on a train that stopped every twenty minutes, but certainly not a good night's sleep in your own bed!
As to the claim that it brightens and makes you look younger thanks to light-reflecting minerals (mica)... how I wish that was true! The illusion of lightening darkness under the eyes is achieved with this product in combination with a BE powder called 'Well Rested' or for me, "Summer Beige". I don't think it's as much the Re-ver Upper as it is a good moisturizer under the eyes and these powders.
As for softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles...yes, it does that, as does any good facial moisturizer and/or anti-aging cream. It's about hydration of the skin or filling it in with a primer.
For me, BE's Eye Re-ver Upper just not worth the money.

Comment: About two years ago I started using BE makeup. I absolutely love the foundation and have started experimenting with the other makeup for the eyes, lips and face. I was excited to find this product which I read as being able to help reduce the darkness from under my eyes. I always end up feeling like I look more tired because I have fair/olive skin and such dark areas under my eyes.
I am wondering what more I could do now because I found that though this did provide a shimmery effect under my eyes, and a slight tingle at first, it also dries fast... it did not heal anything. It did not make the darkness go away or lessen and it did not reduce any wrinkles (which I don't really have yet, thanks to genes). SO I was a little saddened to have paid so much for something I cannot use by itself. I still need to use concealer and I still need to use the other BM eye products under my eyes.
I still LOVE BE and will be a lifetime user.

Comment: I wasn't really sure what I was getting, so I was mildly disappointed it did not give me that tightened eye-area feeling, but it does add some hydration and mild shimmer to the eye area. I put it on the first time before work, and it didn't seem to make a difference, but I often work two jobs, going directly from one to the other. I like to touch up my makeup before the second job, and this is where it does make a real difference! It adds something without being obviously makeup-y that look fresh and bright. Now I pack it with my touch up makeup so I can look fresh when I arrive at my second job!

Comment: primer for the bareMinerals eyeshadows, glimpses, glimmers or liner shadows ! Apply this in the a.m. for wonderful results. I also use this at night as well with the skin rev-er upper. A little goes a long way, and is fun to apply. I highly recommend this !
