Summary: Thin metal & won't whistle
Comment: First thing I noticed: compared to my old teakettle, which started to warp on the bottom after a decade of daily use, the metal is very thin. Then when I tried it out, it wouldn't whistle. Very disappointed.

Summary: Decent pot, but...
Comment: I got the porcelain-on-steel teapot and only used it on medium heat. Within a couple of days, the porcelain began chipping off the bottom and a small spot on one of the sides. Not such a bad teapot per se, but that was a little disappointing.
The whistle isn't as loud as I would like, either, but I can still hear it fairly well.

Summary: Horrible quality, rust inside after 6 months
Comment: Horrible quality, rust inside after 6 months in the form of small "rust" bubbles, a few here and there. Not obvious, unless you look inside with a lamp, although looks great on the surface. Will try to return it.

Summary: KitchenAid 2-quart Stainless Steel Teakettle
Comment: We like our teakettle; it takes the guess work out of when the water is ready. We don't use it too often, but we throughly enjoy it when we do. JERS

Summary: Mother-in-Law Gift
Comment: KitchenAid Stainless-Steel 2-Quart Porcelain Teakettle, Red I purchased this for my mother-in-law last Christmas (2007). She has mentioned several times about how much she likes it and how well built and designed it is. She is hard to please and doesn't give many compliments, so I think this must be a good product.
