Summary: CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THIS!!!
Comment: I have been using this product for two years and I have yet to find anything that works better for my fussy, curly, damaged hair. I began using it around the same time I discovered the flat iron...I am convinced that without this, I wouldn't have hair! That's how damaged it was!
This may be too rich and heavy for someone with fine hair with only minor damage...but for me it is perfect. I've also noticed that it helps the hair to retain moisture in extremely dry, warm climates. This item is definitely worth what you pay for it.
I wasn't too impressed with the Protein RX daily shampoo and conditioner though...For my dry hair I much prefer the Frederic Fekkai Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner with Shea Butter.
Customer Rating: Summary: My Favorite Mask - Miracle for Breaking Hair!
Comment: I like this mask SO much better than the technician mask (might be discontinued) as I have a weakness for all things Fekkai... By far one of the top 3 masks I've ever used! I use it with the technician shampoo, and my hair is incredibly soft and shiny until I wash it again. My hair is quite fine, but I have a lot of it; generally masks are too heavy and greasy. Not this one! I got it because at my last hair appointment, my stylist pointed out that my hair was breaking off about halfway up due to my pulling it up almost daily (I am a fitness instructor) which totally freaked me out. I immediately visited my local Sephora to find some help from my man - I can't afford the overnight treatment so this was it.
As far as the smell: yeah it's strong for a hair conditioner, but I find it really pleasant & enjoy catching whiffs of it the next day. To me it smells like milk and honey, sweet and comforting. I mean, it could be worse! Clean hair is like clean laundry - you're taking good care of it, and it shows! Highly recommended.

Comment: I am in my fortie's and I have damaged dry hair from coloring and split ends.
I really didn't expect that anything would help the terrible condition that my hair was in, but boy was I wrong! My hairdresser was really surprised that my hair was in better condition and didn't need to be trimmed as often as it did before. I am so happy!!

I was one of those people who did not believe that I needed expensive hair care products, but my hair prooved me wrong, I ordered the Frederic Fekkai Protein Rx Reparative Treatment Mask as a last resort because I found it to be very expensive and I am a bit of a cheap-skate, but I am so thankful that I FINALLY gave in and tried this product. I will never stop using it because I can SEE that it truely does work. As for people talking about the smell...I have a very strong sense of smell and I suffer from migrains as well, so believe me when I tell you that I do not know what they are talking about! It smells like vanilla pudding ...am I crazy , or is that a good calming smell? At least "I" think it is. If you have damaged dry or color treated hair YOU NEED THIS! spend the money and have hair that you can be proud of!

Comment: Used Frederic Fekkai Protien RX Repairative Treatment Mask 5.5 - left it on about 10-15 minutes, also applied heat with blow dryer. My hair has never been left in such healthy and shiny condition! I color and hi-lite my hair on a regular basis, and after using the mask, my hair felt literally "like new hair"! Would DEFINITELY purchase again!!!

Comment: I've been a Fekkai user for years and decided to give this mask a try. I thought the smell was wonderful, but i wasn't pleased with the results at all! I was extremely disappointed at the fact that my hair looked dull, was lacking softness and made my hair a tangled mess!! I'll be sticking to Ojon or Oscar Blandi for masks/treatments.
