Summary: The Master Plan.
Comment: WWF Breakdown:In Your House was one of the most entertaining but forgotten events that came out of the year 1998. The main event has the odds against the Texas Rattlesnake like never before against the Brothers of Destruction. However, that is not all the event brings, so about the matches.
Owen Hart vs Edge. It is always great to see an Owen Hart match and this one was actually one of my favorites that Owen had in 1998. This match showed that Owen was capable of having a great match with anyone, as Edge was a little green at this point in his career. Awesome opener.
Al Snow & Scorpio vs Too Much. Hey, it's the J.O.B. Squad and their job is too ... job? Anyways, this was a decent tag team match that I thought was a little too long but still fairly interesting at the same time.
Marc Mero vs Droz. This match was just a filler to hold some PPV time since there was no storyline towards it. Other than a few nice moves from Mero, nothing special came from this one.
No Holds Barred: Bradshaw vs Vader. This was a good match for what it was but it could have been much better. Not many weapons were used but there were good displays of power moves and intensity. Basically, it never gets boring so I praise it just for that.
D'Lo Brown vs Gangrel. This match originally was supposed to be for the European title but D'Lo lost that title to X-Pac a week before on RAW. Luckily, this one is kept short which is good considering that Gangrel is not a great wrestler and D'Lo was not ready carry him just yet.
Triple Threat Steel Cage Match: The Rock vs Ken Shamrock vs Mankind. The winner of this match will be the #1 Contender for the WWF Title. Rock & Foley cut some funny promos before the match, while Shamrock stunk up the place with his. Anyways about the match, it was a fun and unique match to watch since this is the only time that a triple threat was inside a cage. Great interaction between all three men and solid action throughout. Best match on the card.
Val Venis vs Dustin Runnels. Oh my god, look at Terri's outfit. Sorry, I got distracted. This match was okay but their match at Judgment Day where Dustin wrestles as his proper gimmick "Goldust" was much better. However, this one is worth watching just to look at Terri.
Six Man Tag Team War: X-Pac & The New Age Outlaws vs Jeff Jarrett & Southern Justice. This was a solid six man tag team match that could have been better as well but the match overall was entertaining. The highlight was truly the ending of the match and guarantees the rivalry to continue.
WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Undertaker vs Kane. This is hyped as a triple threat match but Vince McMahon made the stipulation that Undertaker & Kane can not pin each other to win the title but they have to beat Austin. Basically, this is a glorified handicap match for the WWF Title. Great storyline that lead to a better than expected match. There were times where it looked like Austin just might pull it out, even moments where Taker & Kane beat the hell out of each other just to see who would get the fall. The ending was little weak because it just puts over the storyline to the next PPV, which is Judgment Day. The overall match was awesome and check Vince's funny moment at the end of the event.
Overall, a very good show that would have been better if not for the two filler matches. But then again, you get an awesome opener, two great triple threat matches, and a watchable undercard. Can not complain about that.

Comment: Breakdown: In Your House
September 27, 1998
Copps Coliseum

Edge V. Owen Hart
Awesome opener. I really don't like Edge was a performer, but if you get him in there that can carry his ass, he looks like a million bucks and that's what happened here. Owen...R.I.P. Buddy, you are truely missed. Owen wins and gives Edge his first **** star match.
Too Much V. Al Snow & Scorpio
The JOB Squad won this match?...their Job IS to Job. Ok...whatever. ***
No Holds Barred Match:
Vader V. Bradshaw
ok match that had some very good spots in it actually. Bradshaw wins ** and speaking of JOBS...is seems like since No Way Out Vader have been doing to JOB everytime he was on PPV. Weird.
D'Lo Brown V. Gangrel
Short and thank god, Gangrel sucks. It's a good thing that D'Lo won. *1/2
Triple Threat Steel Cage Match:
Mankind V. The Rock V. ken Shamrock
Very cool cage match. I wonder why Vince doesn't do more Triple Threat Cage Matches. I think it's unique. The Rock wins. ***3/4
Val Venis V. Dustin Runnels
Look at what Terri isn't wearing. Very hott...AH, i just got slapped in the head by my wife...what I'm a guy..the day we stop looking is the day we die. It's the truth. Anyways, the match was ok and everyone was looking at Terri anyways so we are all winners. actually Val wins. **
X-Pac & New Age Outlaws V. Jeff Jarrett & Southern Justice
Good match that could have been better. DX wins. ***
Triple Threat Match for the WWF Championship:
Stone Cold Steve Austin (Champion) V. Undertaker V. Kane
One of my favorite matches. Great storyline and both Undie and Kane pin Austin at the same time and Finkle doesn't know who to announce as the new champ. ****1/4
Overall, a very good show with a very hott opener, two awesome triple threat matches and one very hott Terri Runnels as always.
